Millhouse service is a 24 hour supported living service, situated in Dumfries town centre, close to local amenities and shops. People supported have there own tenancies with Loreburn Housing Association.

The service supports vulnerable individuals with high levels of need. The 24 hour provision allows individuals to feel secure and safe with the knowledge of a staff member on sleepover.

The support is very much person centred, where the person is supported in their desired way.

Individuals supported have varying degrees of needs, such as help with cooking, shopping, domestic tasks, budgeting, emotional, physical needs; we also provide support to access education or employment. The service provides ways to involve people in the local community and in the running of their service.

The staff team have vast amounts of experience and have to complete a robust training and induction programme.

Our last Care Inspectorate inspection awarded us “Excellent” in all areas inspected.
