We support over 1000 people with varying degrees of learning disability. We have a wealth of experience in this area, having been delivering learning disability services since 1995.
Many of the people we support have spent years in hospital and are beginning to adjust to a more fulfilling life in the community. Many also have a sensory impairment or a physical disability.
The type of service we offer varies from outreach services in the individual’s own home community to 24-hour support provided in purpose-built accommodation.
We are adept and flexible in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and deliver services that meet individuals’ needs rather than them having to having to ‘fit in’ to existing services. We support them to be confident and promote independent living.
Using person-centred planning, we ensure that everything we do is based upon what is important to the supported individuals from their own perspective, this includes becoming involved in a wide variety of local community events and activities.

Testimonials
John's sister, Mary, June 2017"Thanks to all the wonderful staff of TRFS. John was so contented in independent living and was determined never to go back into a home. It was great that he got his wish. We feel so grateful for all their help."
