Balmoral Gate has a star in the making, as Kathleen uses her acting skills to help the SSSC share some advice around cyber security.
The SSSC came to the Balmoral Gate Service to film a video about cyber security; helping service users stay safe online.
The video was scripted by Keith Quinn and one of our residents Kathleen, plays the part of Charlie;
Charlie is a young lady (around 20-25) with learning difficulties. She lives alone in her flat and her support worker (Anne) visits her every evening. Charlie has a part time job in the local supermarket and also goes to a drama group run by a local voluntary organisation.
Alicia from the SSSC was very impressed with Kathleen’s participation, she stated; ‘ I just wanted to let you all know that filming was a success today, we managed to fly through the script’, a big thank you to Kathleen. Her acting skills were top quality and it was a pleasure to work with her’
Alicia was also keen to thank staff as the team have worked extremely hard to get empty flats fully cleaned and looking homely again as some residents had successfully moved on. She also wanted to thank the staff for their help during the filming process, in particular, staff member Owen.
You can see Kathleen in her role as charlie, and watch the full film on cyber security at the SSSC website
