TRFS Coronavirus Update - 26th March 2020

Thursday 26 March 2020

As the spread of Coronavirus continues and the national measures to combat it intensify, our staff are working tirelessly to provide care and support in the community.

We are providing full contractual pay to staff that are self isolating due to being symptomatic or because they have underlying health conditions that place them in a higher risk category (as per NHS guidance).

We are collaborating with the NHS under public health guidance and are equipping staff with the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE). In addition we are working with our supply chain to ensure continued stocks across our services.

Practice and training protocols / procedures have been amended so they align as fully as possible with NHS safety advice. We have intensified our recruitment activity and induction training to increase overall service capacity.

Our teams are rising to meet all challenges and are exemplifying the values we live by. We recognise their dedication and thank them for it. We advocate to funders that all social care staff get their Scottish Social Care Adult Living Wage uplift funded quickly and sensibly as a matter of urgency.

Again we thank our fantastic staff.
