Andrea's New Home!

Andrea moved into our Hopeman Avenue Care Home after a long stay in hospital in the middle of the pandemic.  

In usual circumstances, Andrea would have been able to visit her home, meet those she would be living with and get to know her staff team prior to moving in.  Unfortunately due to the restrictions in place, this was not possible. 

Staff had to think of different ways to enable Andrea to feel comfortable and happy about moving into her new home and through the use of video call they were able to show Andrea around and introduce her to her staff team.

Andrea has been in her home now for almost three months and has settled in really well.  She has made new friends and is happy in her new home.

Andrea said “I love the atmosphere of Hopeman Avenue, I get on well with all the staff team and I feel they are friendly and approachable. I feel I have more freedom living here as opposed to being in hospital, although I still follow the guidelines! I enjoy cooking and I feel like I am already developing my skills!”
