Fond Farewells and Warm Congratulations!
We extend our deepest thanks to Jim Fraser whose tenure as Chairperson and member of the TRFS Management Committee came to an end following our Annual General Meeting on the 21st of September 2021. We also thank Philip Tompkins whose tenure on the Management Committee has also come to an end.
Jim and Philip both leave a tremendous legacy having made vital contributions to the recent success of TRFS; not least in respect to their role in supporting the growth of our unique Participatory Funding Programme and the completion of phase 1 of our landmark property and service development at Todhill.
As we bid a fond farewell to Jim and Philip we also congratulate Stephen McCaffrey and Nina Fletcher who have taken up the Chairperson and Vice-Chair Person roles respectively.
Chairperson Stephen is a Health and Social Care defence barrister and co-founder of Kings View Chambers, London.
“I am incredibly proud to have been elected as Chairperson of the Management Committee. This is a great charity which has always put the interests and needs of those we support at the heart of everything it does. I am so please to have the opportunity to take The Richmond Fellowship Scotland forward in that mission and continue the important mission that we have set. ”
Vice-Chairperson Nina is a researcher and freelance consultant working mainly in the area of Not For Profit or Profit for Purpose organisation.
“I am delighted to have been appointed as Vice Chairperson of TRFS. I am looking forward to contributing to TRFS's valuable role and continued success by drawing on over 10 years of senior leadership experience, consultancy and coaching in the Not for Profit sector.”
Austen Smyth, CEO, thanked both Jim and Philip for their service to TRFS and noted their support, imagination and commitment to help develop high quality supports. Austen also welcomed both Stephen and Nina to their new roles and looks forward to working with them.
