Commemorating James Fraser
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Fraser who passed away on the morning of 3rd February after an illness.
Jim first became involved with The Richmond Fellowship Scotland when he joined the Management Committee in 2004 as a member of the Committee (Board). Jim was appointed as Chairperson for the Management Committee in 2005. He served as Chairperson for a total of 13 years with one year as Vice Chairperson.
Jim will always be remembered as someone who showed kindness and support as a first reaction. His personal qualities went a long way in helping The Richmond Fellowship Scotland develop, innovate and take on the challenges that inevitably get thrown up for any organisation. Quietly, and again with kindness, he grew The Richmond Fellowship to be the largest Social Care Provider organisation in Scotland.
Jim had vision.
Jim had compassion.
Jim had understanding.
Jim had a list of contacts that was a testament to his wide sphere of influence and knowledge.
We will miss Jim and recognise his immense worth to The Richmond Fellowship Scotland. We pass on our condolences to his wife, Brenda and his grown up children.
