We are proud to announce that we are the first Social Care organisation to become an ISO 45001 accredited organisation by the British Safety Council.

ISO 45001 is recognised as the gold standard accreditation that can be achieved for Health and Safety and reflects the impact, comprehensiveness and robustness of our health and safety culture, policies and processes.

As our Head of Health & Safety, Ross Hughes, explains: -

"Achieving ISO 45001 is a significant milestone for TRFS. It reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a safe environment for both our staff and the vulnerable individuals we care for. This accreditation not only helps us manage risks more effectively but also reassures our clients and their families that health and safety is at the heart of everything we do".

Our Chief Executive, Austen Smyth, highlights: -

"A core vision of The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is to keep the people we support and our staff colleagues safe and well. This accreditation externally and independently evidences our commitment to Health and Safety".

Our ISO 45001 accreditation exemplifies our long-standing commitment to the well-being and safety of the people we support and staff. This is also reflected in our annual survey results in which 94% of the people we support, and their families said that we help them feel safe, and in our other achievements such as holding the RoSPA (Royal Society of the Protection of Accidents) Gold Award for seven consecutive years.
