Haggis, Neeps and Tatties at Sheriff Park!
Everyone in our Sheriff Park service wanted to get together and make Burns Night, at the end of January, special. Here they tell us in their own words how much they enjoyed themselves!
For Burns Night, we decided to get dressed up and looked out our tartan ties to celebrate. We started with arts and crafts making our own tartan placemats.
Steven said "it was good fun and good food, we had soup for starts that James had made then moved onto the traditional haggis, neeps and potatoes and some steak pie. Finished off with some chocolate gateau".
Mark added "I looked out my best waistcoat and tie, the steak pie was LOVELY!! We each took turns in reading a poem and enjoyed the meal with some Scottish music playing in the background".
Gary said he thought it was lovely, and he enjoyed the selection of foods, "it was all beautiful. I washed it down with a can of irn bru and a tea cake!"
Les said he loved the food and the staff done well making it all. "I had a go at addressing the haggis this year which was good".
Martin said he thoroughly enjoyed himself and reading the burns poems. "The food was excellent!"
A great time was had by all!
