Advanced Level Facilitator in Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP)
Austen Smyth, Chief Executive for The Richmond Fellowship Scotland, recognises staff colleague Roz Anderson’s (Team Manager) unique achievement as being only one of four Advanced Level Facilitators in Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP) operating within Scotland. Uniquely Roz is the only Advanced Level Practitioner working within a Community Care organisation or Mental Health organisation in Scotland. This profiles The Richmond Fellowship Scotland’s expertise within recovery.
The Richmond Fellowship Scotland supports WRAP by being able to deploy some 25 fully trained WRAP facilitators throughout its services in Scotland.
Note: WRAP is a self management tool used in many countries around the world to help to help individuals take more control over their own wellbeing and recovery; recognising that people are experts on themselves.
The aim of WRAP is to give people the opportunity to learn about and develop their own resources that promote wellness and recovery. Using an evidenced based practice developed by Mary Ellen Copeland the format of WRAP is proven to give people back control, to become the directors of their own journeys and to develop action plans that enable a proactive approach to recovery.
