Care Inspectorate Results 2014/15
The annual Care Inspectorate Report for TRFS for 2014/15 has just been completed, and it is extremely positive.
Our target of achieving at least a grade 4 for 90% of our services has not only been achieved, but surpassed. These grades are so important, as they reflect on how well we support the individuals we are working with, and the care we provide. Our headline results are as follows:
- 96% of our scores are at grades 4,5 and 6 (good, very good and excellent)
- 17 grade 6s (excellent) were awarded across the themes
- 86% of our scores have improved or stayed the same since last year.
Much of this good news has come about as a result of lots of hard work in all of our services, and also by Operational and Head Office staff working closely together in our Practice Improvement Group. We listen to and take very seriously the content of our care inspections, and we work really hard at getting better at anything which is highlighted by our regulators, either as a recommendation, or requirement. By listening to all our stakeholders, we can continuously improve.
Every region across the organisation demonstrated improvement for their grades over the year. Our strongest performance in achieving 4, 5 and 6s, was reflected in themes of Quality of Care and Support, and Quality of Staffing, which both achieved 98%. We received 95% and 94% respectively for Quality of Environment and Quality of Management and Leadership.
A big thank you is due to all of our hard working staff, both front line and management! Without them, their passion and commitment, none of this would be possible. So here’s to another positive year, in providing the best possible support to those who need it, and to working in partnership with all our stakeholders.
