New National Autism Advisor at TRFS
The overarching goal of the TRFS Autism Strategy is to provide individuals with autism with the best quality service available and to become a leader in the field of autism service provision. We aim to be recognised as a provider of specialist, person-centred services which support people to live in their local community. The new National Autism Advisor's post will ensure that we meet out aims.
We are pleased to introduce Frank Slokan who comes to the role of National Autism Advisor with a high level of expertise and knowledge. Frank has over 11 years experience of working in the field of autism in various settings, including within the Senior Management team at the National Autistic Society in Scotland. Latterly, he has been a Behaviour Support Advisor within TRFS Positive Behaviour Support Team providing assessment and specialist support to individuals with challenging and complex needs.
Frank also brings a passion for continuous professional development and has completed a BSc in Psychology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Autism Studies and a Professional Diploma in Positive Behaviour Support. Frank is currently completing an MSc in Investigative Psychology at the University of Huddersfield in which he is hoping to specialise in autism within the criminal justice sector.
